Bobrovsky gets 6th shutout of season and Reinhart scores 54th goal as Panthers top Blue Jackets 4-0

In a dominant performance on the ice, the Florida Panthers' goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky recorded his sixth shutout of the 2022-23 National Hockey League (NHL) season on March 11, 2023. The shutout helped the Panthers secure a 4-0 victory over their division rivals, the Columbus Blue Jackets. With this performance, Bobrovsky not only extended his impressive record with the Panthers but also tied Arizona Coyotes' Connor Ingram and Pittsburgh Penguins' Tristan Jarry for the most shutouts in the league this season.

Bobrovsky's stellar play between the pipes saved all 25 shots that came his way, marking his 44th career shutout in the NHL. The 33-year-old goaltender has been a key figure in the Panthers' success this season, providing a solid foundation for their defensive efforts.

The offensive side of things was not left behind, as the Panthers' Sam Reinhart continued his impressive goal-scoring form by netting his 54th goal of the campaign. This milestone goal came in the second period, giving the Panthers a commanding 3-0 lead.

Matthew Tkachuk opened the scoring in the first period, while Evan Rodrigues and Vladimir Tarasenko added goals in the second and third periods, respectively. The Panthers' victory moved them within a single point of the idle Boston Bruins in the race for first place in the Atlantic Division.

On the other side of the ice, Jet Greaves put forth a valiant effort for the Columbus Blue Jackets, stopping 42 of the 46 shots he faced. Despite Greaves' best efforts, the Blue Jackets were unable to find a way past Bobrovsky and fell short in their bid to secure a win against their division rivals.

The Panthers' victory marked their 11th win in their last 13 games, further solidifying their position as a formidable contender in the Eastern Conference playoff race. The team's impressive form underlines their determination to challenge for the Stanley Cup this season.
