Eastridge survives Manila Southwoods’ big charge, keeps lead

The 75th Philippine Airlines Men's Interclub golf team championships is a prestigious event that brings together the best amateur golfers from different regions of the Philippines to compete for the title of national champions. On Sunday, the second round of the tournament was held at the Del Monte Golf Club in Bukidnon, and one of the standout performances came from Jhondie Quibol, a golfer from Davao.

Quibol shot a blistering seven-under-par 65 on Sunday, which helped Eastridge maintain its lead over the other teams in the tournament. This was an impressive feat, as the course at Del Monte is known for its challenging layout and difficult holes. Quibol's performance was particularly noteworthy because he was one of six Davao-born players on the Eastridge team, which suggests that Davao has a strong tradition of golfing talent.

Overall, the second round of the tournament saw some intense competition and close scores, with many teams vying for the top spot. However, Eastridge was able to maintain its lead thanks in large part to Quibol's outstanding performance on Sunday. The final round of the tournament will be held on Monday, and it promises to be a thrilling conclusion to what has been an exciting week of golfing action.
