Director answers why this Olympic hockey documentary references anime

People can’t stop talking about the beginning of The Nagano Tapes, a documentary on the Czech Republic hockey team at the 1998 Olympic Winter Games. The film references the classic anime, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and we spoke to the director about why he chose to include it.
