Upcoming Harry Potter game Hogwarts Legacy keeps brewing trouble

Hogwarts Legacy is once again causing turmoil for some video game communities following the discovery that a lead game designer on the project once kept a YouTube channel propagating right-wing views and support for the Gamergate harassment movement. Troy Leavitt, the game developer in question, says that publisher W.B. is aware of his views. All the same, forums like ResetEra have decided to ban discussions of the game due to both Leavitt and J.K. Rowling’s transphobic comments in the past.
