Visit Milwaukee unveils new logo

Milwaukee, Wisconsin's largest city, is undergoing a brand transformation as it continues to gain recognition both nationally and internationally. The city's tourism marketing organization, Visit Milwaukee, has announced the unveiling of a new logo as part of its first rebranding effort in nearly two decades. The new look is intended to reflect Milwaukee's vibrant energy and its position as a dynamic and progressive destination.

Josh Albrecht, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Visit Milwaukee, shared the news during an interview on WTMJ, a local radio station. He explained that the rebrand comes at an opportune time as Milwaukee experiences a surge in growth and development. "Milwaukee is on the rise and on the move," Albrecht said, "and this new brand represents that energy and excitement."

The new logo features a modernized design that incorporates the iconic image of the city's landmark, the Milwaukee Art Museum's Quadracci Powerhouse, which is known for its distinctive "Brise Soleil" or "Calatrava Wings." The wings are now depicted in a more abstract form, with clean lines and bold colors that convey a sense of movement and progress. The "Visit Milwaukee" text appears below the image in a sleek, sans-serif font.

The rebranding initiative also includes a new tagline: "Milwaukee, City on the Rise." This tagline reflects the city's ongoing transformation, as it continues to attract new businesses, investments, and cultural institutions. Some recent developments include the opening of the Harley-Davidson Museum's expansion, the groundbreaking for the Couture Sculpture Milwaukee, and the announcement of Foxconn Technology Group's planned manufacturing facility.

The new logo and tagline will be rolled out across all Visit Milwaukee marketing materials, including its website, social media channels, and print advertisements. The organization aims to create a consistent visual identity that resonates with visitors and showcases Milwaukee's unique character and appeal.

Albrecht expressed his enthusiasm for the new brand, stating that it will help to further establish Milwaukee as a must-visit destination. "We're excited to share this new look with the world," he said, "and we believe it will inspire people to explore all that our great city has to offer."
