Carlo Ancelotti responds as Spanish prosecutors seek four-year prison sentence

Carlo Ancelotti is a former Italian football coach who has been accused of tax fraud by Spanish prosecutors. The charges allege that he failed to declare income earned from his work as a coach for Real Madrid and other clubs in Spain. If found guilty, he could face a four-year prison sentence.

Ancelotti has denied any wrongdoing and stated that he is innocent. He has also expressed his frustration with the legal process and the way it has been handled. In an interview, he said: "I'm convinced that I'm innocent. I have always followed the rules and regulations of the game. I don't understand why this is happening to me."

The case against Ancelotti began in 2017 when Spanish authorities launched an investigation into tax fraud by high-profile individuals in the sports industry. The investigation has since led to the arrests of several other coaches and executives, including former Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

Ancelotti's legal team is currently working to defend him against the charges. They have argued that he did not have any knowledge or control over the financial transactions in question and that he was simply following the instructions of his employers. The trial is expected to continue in the coming months.
