US State halts serial killer's execution after failed attempts to find vein for lethal injection

The US state of Oklahoma has halted the execution of a convicted serial killer after multiple failed attempts to locate a suitable vein for lethal injection. The killer, who has been on death row since 2001, was scheduled to be executed on January 28th, but the execution was put on hold after medical staff were unable to find a viable vein for the lethal injection.

According to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, the medical team attempted to locate a vein in both the killer's arms and legs, but were unsuccessful. The department stated that they have not yet determined the cause of the failed attempts, but are working closely with the medical staff to investigate the matter further.

The killer, who has been convicted of multiple murders, has maintained his innocence throughout the trial process. However, he has been found guilty and sentenced to death by lethal injection. The execution was put on hold indefinitely until a suitable vein can be located for the lethal injection.
