Baby penguins bravely dive off 50-foot cliff for first-ever swim, never-before-seen footage shows

Baby penguins, also known as chicks or chicklets, are born helpless and dependent on their parents for survival. Unlike their parents who are fully grown and capable of swimming and diving in the water, baby penguins cannot initially swim or dive due to their underdeveloped muscles and lack of waterproof feathers. However, a new and exciting discovery reveals that baby penguins exhibit remarkable courage and determination as they take their first swims by diving off cliffs as high as 50 feet (15 meters) into the water.
