Clark, Reese headline list of 15 players invited to WNBA draft

The WNBA draft is an annual event where professional basketball teams select the best up-and-coming talent from the collegiate ranks. This year's draft, which is scheduled for Monday, April 10, 2023, will feature 15 college basketball standouts who have been invited to attend. Two of the most highly anticipated picks are Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.

Caitlin Clark, a guard from the University of Iowa, has made history as the all-time leading scorer in both Division I men's and women's basketball. She currently holds the record with a total of 3,333 points across her collegiate career. Clark has also been named the Big Ten Women's Basketball Player of the Year for two consecutive seasons (2021-2022). She is expected to be the first pick in this year's draft, and she will be joining the Indiana Fever. This is the second consecutive year that the Fever have the top pick in the draft.

Angel Reese, a forward from the University of Maryland, has also had an impressive collegiate career. She was named the Big Ten Women's Basketball Freshman of the Year in 2020-2021 and was a consensus All-American in her sophomore season (2021-2022). Reese led her team to the NCAA Championship game in 2022, where they lost to South Carolina. She averaged 18.7 points and 12.9 rebounds per game during her sophomore year.

* Marquesha Davis, a guard from Mississippi

* Dyaisha Fair, a guard from Syracuse

These players have all had impressive collegiate careers and are expected to be selected in the first round of the draft. The order in which they will be picked will depend on the specific needs and strategies of each WNBA team. The draft will take place on Monday, April 10, 2023.
