TYR Pro Swim Series 2024: Kate Douglass Fails To Finish 1st Ahead of US Olympic Trials

Kate Douglass, a standout swimmer for the University of Virginia (UVA), has had an impressive collegiate career, breaking numerous records and earning numerous accolades. At the TYR Pro Swim Series, which took place in San Antonio, Texas, from April 5 to April 8, 2024, Douglass competed in the women's 100m freestyle event. She put up a valiant effort in the final, finishing with a time of 52.98 seconds, just behind Toronto Titans' Rebecca Smith, who touched the wall first in a time of 52.93 seconds.

Douglass' second-place finish at the TYR Pro Swim Series was a disappointing result for her, as she had been aiming to win and improve her qualifying time for the upcoming US Olympic Trials.
