Column: Faux SoxFest arrives at the perfect time for Chicago White Sox fans in search of some answers

The Chicago White Sox are a Major League Baseball team that plays in the American League's Central Division. They have been a part of the American League since its formation in 1901 and have won four World Series titles, the last of which was in 2005.

The annual SoxFest is an event held by the Chicago White Sox that brings together fans for a weekend of activities, including autograph signings, photo opportunities, and live music. The event has been canceled twice in recent years, once due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 and again in 2022.

In place of the traditional SoxFest, the Chicago White Sox have organized a season ticket holders event at the Field Museum on Friday. This event will give fans the opportunity to meet with team executives, players, and broadcasters, as well as participate in interactive activities and Q&A sessions.

The Chicago White Sox are currently in the middle of their 2022 season, with a record of 61-59 as of August 23rd. They are currently in third place in the Central Division, behind the Minnesota Twins and the Cleveland Guardians.
