US adults fracture along party lines in support for Ukraine military funding, AP-NORC poll finds

According to a recent poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, U.S. adults are increasingly divided in their support for military aid for Ukraine. The poll found that 56% of Republicans support providing military aid to Ukraine, while only 28% of Democrats do the same. This represents a significant shift from previous years, when both parties generally supported military aid to Ukraine.

The poll also found that younger adults are more likely to support military aid for Ukraine than older adults. Among those under 35, 64% support military aid, while among those over 50, only 42% do the same. This may reflect a generational divide in attitudes towards foreign policy and military intervention.

It's worth noting that the poll was conducted in early March 2023, before Russia's recent escalation of hostilities in Ukraine. It's possible that public opinion on this issue could shift further in response to new developments on the ground.
